Hi-

I bought OOTP5 today and as soon as I make any kind of a move to open a season I am receiving this error message:

Could anyone tell me if this is a system error or a registration error because I really do not know.
My computer runs on Windows 98, I have 192 ram, its ann old HP computer. I don't have much computer saavy so Ihave no idea what is going wrong.
Please Help!!!!!

Have you delated ANY leagues or files?

No I haven't deleted since the initial purchase. I deleted ootp demo trial/shareware last month though

I have tried to start a new historical season I cannot find 1991 season that I saved

Is this a "pre-created" league? If so, you need to make sure that the folder it is in has the ".lg" in the name.

I just went back and started 1971.lg went to play a exhibitiotion game and received the same error message again. As soon as I pick a team the program jams and I get the error thing. I thought it mu=ight be that my directx was old so I downloaaded that but it hasn't helped

Have you tried "disabling" the sound in the game setup?

Are you running 98SE? Also, you might try updating your video drivers.

not SE i updated all of my drivers when i installed direct x

Really not sure of "non-SE" issues as most running 98 are running SE. Anyonelse NOT running 98SE but running 98 that can add some insight?

i tried new new manager career and it has allowed to get as far as hiring my coaches, that must be a good sign, right. How do I get to this point for a historical manager? I always get that folder isnt in the database message. I enter "c:\1971.lg. Isn't that what Im supposed to do ?

Are you trying to start a historical league? If so you need this(the database IS NOT game ready, the league and players must be imported into the game), http://www.400softwarestudios.com/bo...threadid=30987
