March Sadness
Did I miss the NCAA Men's/Women's Basketball thread here? Or did I just start it? I'm not even that big of a fan...
Anyway, I wanted to post this bit of March Sadness (Morehead State beat Louisville): |

I understand the other bracket buster so far (if first-round upsets can be called that; I'm told my pool awards only one point per pick for the first round) is Richmond over Vanderbilt. Let me see if I can find a picture of a crying (Vanderbilt) Commodore!

I had Richmond over Vandy, but then I also had Louisville in my Elite Eight.

I went 14 for 16 yesterday, losing only Louisville and St. John's. I had them both going one more round, but it still didn't hurt too much.
Today I lost Tennessee and Villanova, but had them both losing the next round anyway. I'm currently tied for second in my pool, but have more potential points left than the person ahead of me. |

I'm not into it at all this year. The leadup to the tournament just felt so long and boring. Don't ever watch ESPN in February.

meh 24-8 so far.
Had Richmond though. 14 of my sweet 16 are still alive. 8-0 in the western portion of the bracket. |

George Mason over Villanova was another upset? At least it was for me and my pick.
I'm also told, in a condescending manner by the experts with whom I am gambling, that first-rounder duds CAN be bracket busters IF you picked the losers to advance into the second and third rounds. AIIIIYYYYEEEEE!!!!! There goes me money!!! ![]()

Day 2 was worse for me, so I ended up 26-6. I have 14 of my 16 left, and all of my elite 8, so I'm still in decent shape right now.

The dream may well end against Duke on Saturday but what an eight game run by UCONN beating 6 top twenty teams (I believe). whew.

![]() Winning the Florida game helped me out, too. My final four is UConn, Florida, Ohio St., and Kansas. |

Tonight's games had a very nice effect on my pool. Duke hurt a lot of people, but since I had UConn beating them anyway...it's pretty good for me.
Now, I just need Ohio St. and Kansas to win and I've got my final four and a comfortable lead in my pool. Actually, an Ohio St. loss probably wouldn't even hurt me too much, since it would knock a lot more people out. |

AND I AM BACK IN THE GAME!!!!
Louisville losing on day one pretty much ruined my bracket since i had them winning. But half the people had Pitt, the other half had Duke. A few have Ohio State, so they are in the lead. If Ohio State losing to Kentucky, it would leave me and the girl who picked Kentucky at the top of the standings. Chances are she wins, but at least I can take second now.

Whaaa?
VCU beats Kansas.
I am shellshocked and penniless (at least in terms of NCAA tournament pools). Who had VCU for the final four? If you did, don't even bother to reply. No one would believe you anyway! ![]()
