Make all players enter as free agents

I have an idea for a historical league that would take the players as they enter the league (adding the Negro League and top Asian players) and give every team a chance to sign the player by way of free agency. So, I have a few questions.

1. Is there a database that already does this? Or, if not, is there an in-game setting that I haven't found yet that will do this for me?

2. How should I adjust the financials so that the big markets have the advantage that it makes sense that they should, without allowing them to be unduly overwhelming?

3. How should I adjust for the increased number of players, and the resulting higher standard of average player, in the new league?

4. Anything else I haven't thought of?

IMHO if you use the Gambo/Spritze Database, turn the draft off and change all team ID's the rookies should import as free agents. By turning the draft off, the game will try to assign rookies to their RL teams, but if the correct ID can't be found, every player should become a free agent.

I can't say too much concerning your other questions, but I will think about it. Haven't tried anything like this before though I thought about something similar for a while.

"2. How should I adjust the financials so that the big markets have the advantage that it makes sense that they should, without allowing them to be unduly overwhelming?" I simply make the gate share 50%, puts most teams in the same ballpark.

"3. How should I adjust for the increased number of players, and the resulting higher standard of average player, in the new league?" You won't need to unless you want to.

Will this affect automatic expansion and some of those related features?
