Problem loading leagues

System: Windows ME
Direct X 8.1
192 mb ram
21.7gb free hard drive space
Dell Computer

When I have direct x enabled, it loads slow then where you click "play ball" is un readable. Same thing when I click on a team, it appears to be lines across the screen. So I disable direct x and everything works fine.

Now when I go to load a league, it stalls and I get these weird lines across the screen, even if I try and reload the original league.

Any ideas?

by putting the game into full screen mode, it corrected the problem.
