Noob question regarding Custom leagues

Hello all,

Just purchased OOTP11 today after a recommendation from a good friend.

What I'd like to do with the game is create a custom league, two sub leagues with two divisions, and 5 teams in each division for a total of 20 teams.

I want to take the MLB roster, dump them all in a pool, and have an expansion draft using those 20 teams. However I don't see how I can use MLB players in a custom league - I'm getting what seems like randomized players.

Can anyone help out? Is there a guide out there to help hold my hand as I'm learning how to do all of this?

There may be a better way to do it, but what I would do:

Start an MLB 2010 quick start

Release all players and schedule an inaugural draft

Delete/move teams to get the structure you want

Rename the teams to the names you want

Advance to draft

Enjoy.
