Importing Player?
I am trying to import a "historical" player into the current season (2010). I put "historical" in quotes because the player in question -- Mark Holliman -- is still playing but he does not appear in the current Lahman database and he does not appear in the OOTP historical database in any year from 2006 on when he made his pro debut. I know OOTP uses player id tags --voigtol01, for example -- to identify players, so how would I go about finding Holliman's player ID in either Lahman or Baseball Reference?

hollimi01 (played in 11 games in 2008 -- those are the only stats that the Lahman DB would have)

Now in Holliman's case, BaseBall reference has him listed as a minor league player.

Actually, that is the player ID for Mike Hollimon, who was born in Dallas, Texas, and played for the Tigers. Mark Holliman was born in Germantown, Tennessee, got drafted by the Cubs in 2005 and then went to the Brewers in 2009 and then the Red Sox and independent ball last year.
