Generating Errors Randomly????

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I am new to the game and don't know much about it. At different phases during the game, it says that OOTP5 has generated errors and must be closed. By different phases I mean before I have even simmed a game. I downloaded the game yesterday and have had this problem continuously. I am using the TotalMinors roster set if that makes any difference.
System:
Pentium II
Plenty of HD space
Windows 2000 Professional

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And by the way, I have heard nothing but great things about 400 software and OOTP in general from many of my friends and would like to thank you for producing a wonderful game and supporting it the way it should be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you d/l SP3 win200 update? I have had several folks say that d/l and installing this solved this problem, I run win 2K and have it installed and do get the errors anymore. Might be worth a try.

I d/l the service pack and it seems to have solved the random errors, but it still generates errors and crashes when I try and enter the manager screen from the league menu. Any suggestions???? Thanks again.
