Well u can do this a few different ways.
1. heres my way.....I Write down names of 25-30 players each yr of who I want to put into the draft. Many r ppl i know some r musicians, actors, etc.
Once the draft pool comes out. I go in and click on the potential tab so i can put my players in according to who is the best.
Make sure u r in Commish Mode, then click on the player and then the editor tab and then just change the player as u see fit.
side note: i tend to use facegen for any player i create heres a celebrity facegen thread, and go to Soxxcountry.com for facegen great program

2. The 2nd way to add a player to a draft is once u go into draft pool click on create fictional player on the bottom right, havent done this in awhile so i forgot what all options they let u choose.

3. importing historical players:1st go to baseballreference.com and write down the players name in the link that u want to import so say u want Jody Gerut the code for him is gerutjo01, then figure what which of his yrs that u want to import him from, say 2003 his rookie yr. go to import historical players tab on bottom and put in teh player code the yr and whatever other options u want and point to the historical.db u use (for me i use Spritz, dont know which 1 anymore)

and there ya go, as u edit players stats some will move up or down in potential based on what changes u made to their stats before draft day.
