NCAA schedule

I'm interested in setting up my own ncaa league in ootp. This is not a request for a premade schedule, I actually want to do this myself. But I had a few questions for those who have done this before, if you can offer some help.

Here's what I had in mind: an NCAA league with all division I schools included!

My questions are:

Can ootp handle one league with 30 subleagues and 10 teams per subleague?

Is it easy/possible to set up and east west all star game with that many subleagues, or does each subleague need its own all star game?

Is it possible to set up a series of tournements within OOTP? That is, can each subleague have a tourney, then plug the subleague tourney winners into an NCAA tourney? You know, just like IRL?

If you guys think this can be done, do you have any tips for someone new to programming this kind of stuff for the game?

Also, can the ootp schedule generator help me with this?

tl;dr: Any suggestions for programming an NCAA league with upwards of 300 teams and several levels of tournements?

More Questions

Okay I gave this a try last night, then ootp crashed on me and I lost it all. But it brought up a few more questions that I have.

I set it up as one independent minor league (NCAA) and split them into north and south subleagues. Grand total of 30 divisions (division = conference) between the two leagues with 284 teams. Can ootp handle this? Is there a practical team limit before ootp can't handle it anymore?

Is it possible to set up a 64 team playoff bracket? I'd like to do two teams from each division with four wildcard teams.

Does ootp work with only one league level? Do I need a subsequent level below my NCAA varsity teams? Can I set it up that so there's just 35 spots on the active and expanded rosters? How do I set up a reserve roster (thinking this would be like having a red-shirt roster)?

When my ootp crashed on me, does it sound like I overloaded the program or does it sound like i just ran out of memory?

Thanks in advance for any help you have to offer.

Oh one more thing. I have 284 teams and I'm trying to get them to play 60 game regular season with an unbalanced schedule. Will this work?
