Questions about the online historical leagues

I'm new to the game and I have been goofing around with it for a few weeks but I am curious about the online game. From what I can tell, the games are generally simmed 3 days a week, 7 games at a time. Would I need to fill in all of the 7 day lineups or would my standard vs rh/ vs lh/ vs rh dh/ vs lh dh lineups suffice? What happens if there is an injury? The game stops simming when you are playing solo so you can make a roster move so I'm wondering what exactly happens if you are in a league where 7 games are simmed at a time and an injury occurs? I found this

PLAYING IN AN ONLINE LEAGUE

on the internet...is it up to date advice? What would I need to brush up on in the game before I join a historical league?

Thanks!

You wouldn't need to, although its easy to use 7-day lineups. The auto-fill function fills it out based on your standard lineups, then you just tweak things to rest guys.

But if you don't use 7-day lineups, make sure 'use 7-day lineups' is checked to NO, otherwise you may see some strange things.

The sim continues in an online league. You just do without. That's why its important to have a spot starter chosen, in case someone in your rotation goes down. Only after the commissioner runs the sim and you download the new league file can you put guys on the DL and replace them on your roster.

I skimmed it and the advice looks generally on the mark. Keep in mind there are fictional leagues, where knowledge of RL players is obviously not needed.
