Why don't you just realign back to two divisions per league?

I always eliminate 'divisions' in my historical leagues. If you can't win it during the season, you shouldn't be there (in the WS) at the end.

of course its different in our little fantasy worlds, but then u deny fans of teams from being interested after july 4 and if u r a Cubs fan u lose all hope teh day after opening day with no Wildcard ( not that they will ever win it anyway 1908)

But i hate the amount of teams in real MLB 30 teams in 3 divsions with Pit at 18 consecutive losing seasons, Grienke leaving KC because they cant afford him, only Minn for a small market team knows what they r doing.

Either contract or move to 4 divisions.
in my 1 league where i have 32 teams i have 4 divsions but its fantasy so it doesnt count
in my ABF i have 14 teams and only 3 of 6 in the North r above .500 and i have had a 10+ game lead since may 1st. in the South that team is going Wire To Wire and also had a 10 game lead. i have known since basically july 1st that the Chicago Fire will play the Los Angeles Patience in the World Series. its been rather boring.

Well if it wasnt for the Wildcard I wouldnt have lead the Red Sox to the WS crown in my solo league, so WC stays!!

Although yes in real life non division winners shouldnt be able to win it all.

Hey now, I seem to remember the Reds doing pretty well this year. And I don't see any signs of them slowing down.

Well the part i found INCREDIBLY unrealistic is Washington won a 1 game playoff with the Phillies.

Not so sure about that, the Reds have a good young nucleus, and with Chapman possibly moving into the rotation next season I think they along with Houston and St Louis should compete for the division title.

And signing Werth will help, too.

Just had to chime in again. In my new game the Nationals won 93 and defeated Seattle in the World Series. I think something crazy is going down. Or it could have just been Strasburg's 1.03 ERA and 24 wins.

For those of you wondering what was wrong, the Nationals (now with no uniform typos!) and Padres should have played a one-game playoff in Washington. Of course, had the Padres won, OOTP would have likely crashed trying to figure out which one makes the playoffs, since they would have the same record.

Of course, this all assumes the Padres were the best team H2H among themselves, the Phillies, and the Nationals.

Hmm. Still not getting it. Why should there have been a one game playoff when the Nationals finished a game ahead of the Padres in the wildcard race?

Because the Phillies, the Nationals, and the Padres finished the season at 86-76.

I don't know how the Padres ended up with 77 losses, though.

Wait i figured it out, the Dodgers, Nationals, Padres, AND the Phillies finished with the same record.
