A few weeks back I saw an interesting post of some owners looking for a stats only league. I have always wanted to be in a league of this kind but since I do not see many out there I decided it was time to start one up. After some testing I think I am ready to start this up. Introducing the United Baseball Alliance. The UBA will be a 12 team league (2 divisions of 6 teams) which play in a split season 154 game format (each half is 77 games). The winners of each half play in a best of 5 divisional playoffs with those winners moving on to the UBA Championship.

The league will have 3 feeder leagues. The first a 6 team college league, the second a 6 team Dominican League and the third a 4 team Japanese league. All will be labeled as college feeder leagues with varying minimum and maximum ages (Dominican will be younger than college, Japan older).

There will be no ratings displayed at all, only stats will be used. We will use StatsLab to their fullest ability to assist in scouting. No scouts or coaches will be used. I have ran a 30 year test simulation to show you how the league will be set up and show you the stats produced for 30 years. Be aware the Japan league for this sim has 6 teams, this will be lowered to 4 and the games where simmed with a 132 game season not 154. The OOTP pages can be found by clicking here.

YOU will have full control over naming your team, building your stadium and producing your own logos for each level which will include the UBA and a AAA, AA and A ball level.

You will also be able to bring in 3 major league players at the leagues inception. These will be "franchise players" who will be signed to 10 year contracts manually in game. They will be brought in as fully developed 24 year olds. The only catch to this is you cannot bring in any player who is a Hall of Famer of current major leaguer. Before the inagural draft I will sim out 20 years to give each owner a good amount of stats to review to make drafting decisions.
