Stupid... stupid FOX

So I'm in Minnesota... that's the midwest, right? At this very moment, there is a Cubs-Cards game on, the most storied rivalry in the history of midwestern sports. And which game is on my FOX affiliate?

Angels-Red Sox. Hmmmm, an East Coast-West Coast game.... or a Cubs-Cards game. Was this the right decision? I don't think so.

And here I thought you were mad about the cancellation of "John Doe."

Oh. Just wonderful. Since the Cubs game is on FOX somewhere, it is blacked out on MLB.TV. I pay 80 bucks for this service, and I can't watch a Cubs game on a Saturday afternoon!?!?!?!

Would you believe I actually emailed the program director of the local affiliate to ask what the reasoning behind this decision was?

Yeah, I would have titled it "Stupid...stupid FOX affiliate serving the Twin Cities metro area", but it was too wordy.

The Cubs-Cards game is pretty boring, unless you like pitcher's duels.( I do.) Prior looks good.

Sorry JML

Would you like a pitch-by-pitch transcription of the events? That would be a good way to pad my post count.

You know what's funny, one state over we have Cubs-Cardinals... which is annoying since the Cubs are on WGN all the time anyways, and of cawse Manny loves his Sawks.

That's pretty funny. I, Cub fan, have the Sawks game. You, Sawks fan, have the Cub game.

Edit- Maybe we could switch. Is your wife hot?

Oh, the irony of it all. It's as though you were dying of thirst, and I had nothing but water, while I was dying of hunger while you had nothing but food. And there was only a thin wall separating us, so we hear each other's screams of agony as well slowly, helplessly, die.
