I would like everybody with the game to try this

I submitted a tech support issue many months ago and on the day of the last patch I got an official reply saying that Markus was unable to duplicate the problem. I'm trying to find out if my issue is merely my imagination.

We all know that on the league schedule list of games for a certain day that there are a number of different things listed for any particular game. These are start time, scheduled starters, team records, etc. Once you hit the button to quick sim it, it then displays the results, winning and losing pitchers and home runs, etc.

During a playoff series, a new piece of info is added to the game screen before and after you quick sim, the series record.

My issue that I've run into since the day I first played the game on it's pre-order release date is that in a 5, 7 or 9 game series, after the 3rd game and then each subsequent game in the series, instead of saying "Team A leads Team B 2-1", it states "Team A Wins the Series 2-1". It states this despite the series being far from over. Should the next game go to team B, then it will simply state "Series is Tied at 2", but if B wins the next game as well, it will state "Team B wins the series 3-2". That is fine for 5 game series, however it shows the exact same thing after game 5 of a 7 game series or a 9 game series.

Does anybody else notice this issue within their game or am I curiously the only one?

I'm not in front of my game at the moment, but I have seen in 7 game series, Team A wins the series 3-1.

So, you are not the only one.

I checked this issue in my league (fictional with 7 game series then a 9 game series) and I did not see the issue you are experiencing.

I thought I was the only one! This happens to me for EVERY SINGLE playoff series, any time a team wins a game to lead a series, it says they've won the series.

Yes I see it. My current league is imported from v10.

I find it hard to imagine how this can't be duplicated.

Same situation for me. I have a fictional solo league at home and one on my computer at work that were both created in OOTP11. Both see this curious 'problem'.

Yeah, Ive seen it since I started with V11; my reaction after the 4th or 5th time was an amused shrug. Now I dont even register the recurrence.

I haven't ever seen it.

I have seen this annoying thing though, after the series is complete, and you go back to look at any of the box scores they all say the same thing (so and so wins the series 4 game to 2, instead of saying so and so leads the series 2 games to 0, which is what it should say, when I am looking at the game 3 boxscore).

Yep - I've seen it. My league is semi-historical imported from OOTP 9 to 10 to 11. The only time I noticed it is when my team actually made the playoffs. Before the games have been played out, the "Scores" screen lists who is leading the series correctly. But as soon as the games have been played for that day, it erroneously says "Team A wins the series 2-1". Once I click "Finish Today", it correctly changes the text to read "Team A leads Team B 2 games to 1" (or something to that effect).

You're not imagining it... I'm definitely seeing it... not sure if we'll be able to find a pattern though. Sounds like even some folks who have leagues created in OOTP 11 are seeing the issue, so I guess it's not an import problem. Wonder if it has something to do with postseason rules/settings. Right now my league is in 1984, so it's still a 5-game LCS and 7-game WS. I change it to a 7-game LCS this offseason, so i'll see if anything changes with the Scores screen during the playoffs. Will take me awhile to get there though since I play every game out.

every single playoff series. all leagues created in 11, not imported. the fact that something so widespread "can't be reproduced" is odd.

This happens to me too in all playoff series, unless the series is tied, then it correctly says "Series Tied 1-1", other wise, it will say "Team A Wins Series 2-1" instead of "Team A Leads Series 2-1".

I've always noticed this since the first time the playoffs started in the 1st year of my league with OOTP 11 (which this league started brand new with OOTP 11). I just didn't say anything b/c it wasn't affecting the game in any way.

But to answer your question, you are not the only one and I don't have a clue how Markus could not reproduce the problem being that there have been so many responses to this thread stating that they have seen the same thing.

Yeah, every playoff series. It's irritating. Even worse is that if you go back after the series (or later on in the series) to look at Game Two (say), it will say which team won the series, and by how many games, not what the state was after that game.
