OOTP 6 League
*DON'T NEED TO OWN GAME
Hey guys, I am currently seeking as many as 10 GMs for various reasons. We don't have 10 open teams but I am looking to replace a few current GMs who have been slacking with some ones who will be more active. The league page is- OOTP 6 Generated Website You can find me on aim at millzee53 We have a lot of interesting features in our league that set us a part from many others. We allow franchise relocation when a team has hit rock bottom and that provides revenue boosts, fan interest boosts and a real chance to get out of the cellar. To help with that, each team has a stadium bank account that is automatically added to when the team goes over the 40 mil cash max at the end of the year. Also, there is new stadium construction that any team can do if they have the necessary funds. This allows you to design your ballpark to cater to the needs of your team and it gives you a fan interest boost as well. We also have player franchising that allows each team the option of franchising 1 player per year, if they are unable to reach a contract extension agreement. The minimum salary is the 10th highest paid player at his position. The price is determined by arguments made by the GM of the team and another GM acting as the player's agent trying to negotiate the price. Now you don't have to let your star player walk because he wants a winning team or simply wont resign. Another unique feature is FA compensation. For any player signed for over 12 million in free agency, the signing team must forfeit their 1st round draft pick to the former team of that player. This promotes letting good player's walk and increasing the talent pool in free agency because there is an upside to letting an all-star go. However, if the team has a top 10 draft pick, it is protected and they give their 1st rounder the following year. One of the last unique things we do is the draft lottery. The top 10 picks are decided by lottery. The worst team obviously has the best chance of winning but this is in place to protect against tanking because no matter how bad your team does, there is still a lottery so you are not guaranteed anything, just have the best chance. I guess you can say we're a progressive league that likes new and exciting concepts to promote activity. This does not mean we're crazy a**holes that like to change everything. Every rule mentioned and all rules were passed down from many successful leagues in our past family of leagues (kosstic, TSG, Dank, HR21). We really think we have found the best possible combination of traditional rules and exciting ones. There is no salary cap and broadcasting revenues are changed every 3 years based on improvement of each team. We move at a pretty fast pace, about 5 sims a week equaling 15 days game time. This makes for a season that takes around a month. We started last summer with a 2009 roster set that was updated through the first few months of the 2009 season. We are now entering the 2026 play-offs. So we've had a good run so far to say the least. At this point all players are essentially fictional. However we have real player names of all time greats, musicians, tv personalities, movie characters, anyone you can think of really. Like my catcher Peter Gammons (Baseball Tonight), 3B Rogers Hornsby (All-time great), 1B Kevin Young Jr (son of former pirates 1B), OF's Shawn "#6" Crahan (Slipknot), William Henry Gates (Bill Gates...), Shoeless "Joe" Jackson (all-time great) and Kenneth J. Sullivan (Resident Evil)...and thats just my line-up. To give you a reference, Justin Upton is finishing his 20th season at the age of 39, so there are still some real players left. All the draft class are edited and designed by myself and another GM so you don't have to worry about getting screwed by prospect creation. We tailor the classes to meet the league's needs. The game set-up is like this: Aging: -90% Hitter Development: 40% Pitcher Development: 45% No Rule 5 Draft No Minor League FA Coaches and Scouts are turn OFF I am acting GM of comp teams, allow trading with them. 6/1 Draft No Salary Cap Salary Floor: 20 mil 40 mil cash max Allow Trading picks Line-ups and changes are PM'd to me There are a few teams that are truly contenders that were comp teams for many years but unlike other league, when a team becomes vacant, we dont let it sit there and grow mold waiting for a new GM. All teams that have lost their GM have been completely rebuilt and monitored by myself and the last commish. I'll start with the better teams and highlight some of their strengths. St. Louis Cardinals- St. Louis Cardinals Clubhouse This is easily the best team available at the moment. 5 straight division titles, arguably the best rotation in the league. Currently 11th in hitting and 2nd in pitching. In some financial trouble but losing almost 30 mil in payroll. They had a good, active GM who is now entering law school and does not want his team to go to waste so he wanted me to find a new GM. New York Yankees- New York Yankees Clubhouse Second best team available. 4 straight division titles. They havent had a GM in 2 seasons but still made the play-offs in both so they have loads of talent. This team not only made the playoffs but has a wealth of prospects with the 5th best system. So 7th best record, 5th best system, great financial shape. Very ideal. Mexico City Rattlesnakes- Mexico City Rattlesnakes Clubhouse Formerly the d-rays. This team was rebuilt for a while. They have the scariest young line-up in the league. Finished 3rd in offense and only have 2 players over 26 in the line-up. Although they finished 22nd in pitching, they have 2 ace caliber starters under 28 and have enough prospects and hitting to acquire the pitching they need. Great project with tons of potential. Cleveland Indians- Cleveland Indians Clubhouse Needs a lot of work but that work is very doable considering they have the best OF and the best SS in the game in Daryl "The Captain" Boyd and Honus "Dutchman" Wagner . Definitely capable of winning soon if Boyd and Wagner are moved from younger talent. Chicago White Sox- Chicago White Sox Clubhouse Just 2 years ago they had 4 straight division titles. In the middle of a successful rebuild. They have a very deep system and still have a bunch of pieces left to move. San Diego Padres- San Diego Padres Clubhouse This team needs some work but they have a few great pitching prospects, and 3 huge bats in their line-up with some underdeveloped talent waiting as well. Ok so, I've pretty much explained everything you could possibly imagine about the league and the way we run it. I don't know how you could have any more questions but if you do, or if you are interested in these teams, contact me at millzee53 on aim or post here. Thanks, Tyler
