Gauging some interest on a new 2010 league
Howdy,
My favorite thing to do in OOTP has always been to watch a league unfold, with myself being hands-off. But, I've always had some problems with the way AI does Waivers, Free Agency, Trades, etc... Not any kind of knock on the game or Markus or anything, just it is what it is. So, I thought, what better way of watching a league unfold then running an online league and letting the teams be controlled by humans, so if a team DOES make a weird move, there's a human behind it! I also wanted to have a different sort of amateur draft, and try to implement a foreign free agent system. I would limit the draft to USA, Canada and Puerto Rican players like it is in the real MLB, and figure out some sort of fair way of doing foreign Free Agents. I figured teams could bid on the top 15-20 foreign free agents, and then the rest of them are divvied out by a random number generator. If the league got some interest, I'd of course type out a more detailed system, and let people suggest ideas for it. So, if this catches enough interest I'll set up a site (likely with allsimbaseball) and we can get some initial discussion going. There hasn't been a lot of activity on the online forum lately, so I don't know how saturated the "market" is with current sims, but I thought I'd throw this out there. Thanks.

I really like this idea. I wanted to try and figure out how to do that as well. I just don't how to go about it. I would be in favor of joining a league like this. Keep me updated. I'm VERY interested.
