Pacquiao to fight Margarito in November
This fight will probably sell fairly well. With Pacquiao's speed, it'll be very tough for Margarito from the opening bell. It looks like Floyd Mayweather will be taking off the remainder of the year.

I think it's crap Margarito gets a shot at the title after his suspension. Do you think he can get a license in the US I know Vegas declined him stating he needs to reapply in California before they give him a license.

I agree, AM does not deserve this shot but I hope Manny gives him the rest of the beating that Shane dished out to him last year.

I think this is an instance of Margarito being in the right place at the right time. Arum promotes a fighter who's damaged goods and is probably cashing out on his investment. Everyone will make a lot of money on this fight. Margarito will probably lose a one sided fight and possibly fade into boxing's "scrapbook."

Manny should fight Saul Alvarez ... he very popular among mexican fight fans and would sell out any arena and sell one million PFV buys. I won't watch a fight between Manny and Margarito.

I agree with the earlier post that Margarito doesnt deserve the shot. Of course Arum wants to keep it in house (top rank house that is). No matter where they fight it will sell because of Pacquiao. As far as Saul alvarez goes, other than hard core boxing fans, no one knows who alvarez is, espescially here in the states. If pacquiao is gonna fight at 154, I'd like to see him fight Sergio Martinez or Paul Williams. |

So we won't get ratings of either guy @ 154? Manny was hoping to get a title shot @ JMW so he can go after his 7th belt in my uni. He already has titles @ 122, 126, 130, 135, 140 & 147. Last edited by hamed2; 07-25-2010 at 03:59 PM. |

IMO this is an absolutely ridiculous matchup. Instead of fighting PBF Pacman will be fighting, wait for it ... the guy who got beaten by the guy who got beaten by PBF. WTF?!?
I really can't believe that Manny can agree to this. Surely he sees the stupidity of it? He can't be so blind, can he? And the fact that it'll be at JMW with ANOTHER title belt for Manny to win stinks so bad I can't even block my nose in the face of it. It makes me ask the question: When the hell is our sport gonna get its act together? Last edited by kenyan_cheena; 07-25-2010 at 08:11 PM. |

Manny really wants to fight in November, so if not PBF...
It's possible that he may retire after this fight. He's a congressman now, and it would be very silly for a congressman to continue with a career as a professional boxer. I do hope he retires. PBF will then suddenly decide he wants to fight. I hope Manny will then reply, "Sorry. You missed your shot."
