OOTP11 Add-On Databases

There are 8 different DB's created for OOTP11 and they should be posted to PadresFans site fairly soon.

If you are interested watch for them.

Im new to this.. what is the difference between a database and a roster file... in games such as Football Manager, a database IS a roster file...?

I wouldn't think of it as a roster file - the database is exactly what it says, a database. So with Spritze's hard work, in one example of his database, you can import a pretty complete representation of the MLB for a given year. SO where as when you start a historical season using the default Lahman database you just get all the MLB players who payed in the MLB for that given year, with one version of Spritze's (for example) database you can import a more complete "organization" for that year having prospects and younger real life draft picks playing in your minor league affiliates which you wouldn't get with just a standard Lahman import.

Hope that doesn't sound confusing!

Unless I can run a select * from... on it, it's a roster.

OK. I went to the site. I have tried to add it to the add-ons in OOTP, but it is looking for an .xml file and I'm not sure where to find one. I was looking in the 2009 stadiums data base.
