Cobb Goes to College has many open teams
This is a league you have probably heard about a few weeks ago basically saying it was under development and no real details could be offered. Well now we have a web page with a list of teams that are open, probably about 40 out of 80. If you have heard nothing about this, we are a league importing historical players from enough years to get 640 plays each year. The first recruiting list is from 1900 to 1906. The first list isn't due until next Friday so if you join now you won't be behind at all. The link is http://www.collegeootp.ootp-leagues.com/
The thing that makes this league unique is the way we do our playoff system, we do it like the college world series with conference tournaments and such. It will be a lot of fun, check it out. If your interested in joining e-mail me at epteator@hotmail.com or Rich at richnamanda@earthlink.net |

We have only gotten a few e-mails and there is still plenty teams left. If you are at all interested in college baseball or historical players, this league will probably be very entertaining. Also there is not much to do besides recruiting and lineups. So if time is a limitation for you in other leagues this one won't be much of a hassle. Its put together by a great guy who knows what hes doing and is very dedicated to making this format work out. If you have any questions or want to join you can leave a message here or e-mail one of us with the links above. We hope to have you join us.

Well I hate bumping my own post but this league is really unique and i don't think some people are giving it consideration due to this. If you like historical players and the college baseball format, then you'll like this. Its amazing how its set up to fit 80 teams including mid majors. Of course if your alma mater isn't listed, and you would like to be them, I'm sure Rich would be more than happy to change one team to another. Just check it out, we've had the page up for a day now and the message board has quite a few members. There are still a lot of prestigious schools left so don't think that 40 being gone has limited your chances. Join within the next week and a half and you haven't missed a thing.

We're up to 43 teams now (Duke and Texas Tech came on board) giving our brand new league possibly another claim to fame in the OOTP world: We're the biggest.
So if you think size matters, try us out. Initial recruiting list is up -- over 700 players from 1900-06 -- so you can imagine the great names on there. And yes, the league's namesake, Ty Cobb, is on there, too. First full season with owners (we call them AD's and coaches) begins in the next couple of weeks and the first wave of recruiting lists is due by Friday, May 23. Check us out and get yours in now.
