Disclosure needed: Members who change identities

IMO, members who change identities should be required to list their former names in their signatures.

I recently had a difference with a long-time member of whom I had never previously heard, which was odd to me. I only just discovered today, while doing some research in an older forum, the transformation of this user's identity (apparently one's historical posts are renamed but if they were quoted, one's original identity appears therein).

I "knew" this fellow from previous discussions and was familiar with his irascible style. He likes to argue but, most of the time, he has something of interest and intelligence to say. If I had known it was him in our latest encounter, I don't think I would have been quite as annoyed with him!

Probably wouldn't be good if everyone found out there are actually only six people here.

It's proven to work, we have very old examples bouncing around on this very forum.

Actually, at first I thought it read "
most of the time, he does not have something of interest and intelligence to say."

And I used a sad face. Went back, and reread it, and was like "woohoo!" and gave a happy face instead!

Hey man, torpedoes are friggin dangerous out there!

One time, my turtle Fred's cousin, J.R., (We call him Jay, sometimes) was nicked in the tail with one. It got infected, and turned all gangrene. They had to amputate. Was pretty intense. We all thought he was gonna die. But, he eventually pulled through. True story. It was ugly.

True stury huh? where are you letting your turtle play that he got hit with a torpedo, and how big is your turtle, or how small was the submarine that fired that tiny torpedo?

Well, let's see here. I remember we were playing in the bathtub when......

*cue Wayne's World's version of the dreamy effect thing going brrr brrr brrr brrr and waving hands in front of camera.....*

All the sudden, we were out in the middle of the friggin ocean! Right above the Marianas Trench! You could see the shores of Australia right in front of us, when PHHReewww PHHHREwwww PHHHrrewwww!!!!

Three torpedoes! In the friggin water!

I wound up Fred's paw, so his tail can flap quicker, and we dove! Straight down! BRing BEin Bring!!!

And then, we look up, and there's J.R. (Jay! We call em Jay! Remember that! That be quite important stuff right there!) starts on a dizzying dive.

Now, his dive wasn't very clean looking. It was all jaggedy....and....stuff. We knew immediately something was wrong, because of that...jadggedy dive.

So, we dove even further down after him! BBBZzzzzzhhhHHH!!!!!

Caught him!

And his tail was torn apart!!

so, we dragged him back to the surface, and made out way our of the MArianas, and hailed the shores of Australia....well, at that point, we were on the PCH, and headed for San Francisco, but that's besides the point!

Anyway, the Aussie Japanese turtles (they can be kinda mean sometimes!) spotted us, and took us to their homeland. Jay, he was uconcious the whole damned time. Went into a comma they say, ya see.

They told us he got theinfection. Thaose commie bastage torpedo people, all, launching their torpedies at a innocent half-french, half-aussie trutle float. ggrr

*cue Wayne's World's version of the dreamy effect thing going brrr brrr brrr brrr and waving hands in front of camera.....*

Anyways, next thing we knew, we were back in the bathtub, and everything was back to bein COO!

Or is it "KEW?" I forget which.

In any case, they h fed Jay his choclate -covered turtle...uummm....whatmamacallit meds that fight bacterinfections.

Well, that stuff wasn't working, so we complained to the nurse in charge, and she replaced it with something else. He becaume allergic to the newest one, thso they stuck a needle in his arm. Which made him choke!!

poor gy. then he had "release bowel syndrome."

but they got that cleared up, and he waent home.

Oh, and the pelicans had to carry him!

Jim, Vinny, I must say that, although both of you have had some things of intelligence and interest to say here, neither one of you is the person I had in mind. I am starting to think NCBeachBum is right, though...

Isn't a worded statement more of a thank you than just a push of a button? I thought so at least:
