High School / College history

Just curious about something here. When are players assigned high school and or colleges? And, where is that information displayed? I've never seen it. I don't use feeder leagues, so is that the reason? I've seen high school "stats" displayed for players in the new player draft, but not the names of the schools. Just wondering.

The only time the school is displayed for a draftee is when they get drafted out of college I think. For college players, if you look at 'History', it'll say something like "Selected in Round 1, Pick 3 out of college (Yale University)" or something close to that.
