Bit OT but Man City have signed Silva, throw in Johnson if he keeps his form and the likes of Tevez, Bellamy and Adebayor they could be scarey going forward. Think I'll just shut my eyes and pray when they face Wigan

I can't imagine Bellamy will stay -- he'd been looking like leaving even before they signed someone better than him who plays the same position.

I just did something I never do and placed a sports bet. 50 on the Netherlands to win. I like the payout. 7/2 are the current odds from Bwin.

He was released. We have Roberto Martinez as a commentator over here so we know more about Wigan than we ever wanted to know.

World Cup 2010: Ghana goalkeeper Kingson released by Wigan | Ghana Soccer | League Sunday | England League | League Fantasy | Spain League | Italy League | Nigeria League | Germany League | Football | Soccer | Ghana Soccernet

I didn't understand that little tap from the corner by the Netherlands. What were they trying to do?

Anyway, I am glad Brazil is out. They are one of two teams I always hope lose. The other is France.

Kingson looks awfully good for someone not good enough to play for Wigan.

He's no Chris Kirkland apparently.

He hardly plays club football, not looked at his games played but the other day when Ghana played they said he plays more international games than club games. According to soccerbase since 2007 he's played 4 league games, 1 FA Cup game and 2 league cup games. So he actually played just as many world cup finals games in a couple of weeks than he did league games in 4 years

I am rarely right, but when I am it feels good . It also won me 175 Euros. I will take the GF out for a nice dinner.
Stekelenburgs save for me is the play of the tournement so far and should be the poster highlight. He saved a ball that is almost mathematically impossible to save. If he would have been hundredths of a second off his leap the ball would have missed his hand or he would not have gotten enough finger strength on the ball to knock it away.

Kirkland would probably be England's number 1 if he weren't injury prone, actually if he wasn't injury prone he wouldn't be playing for Wigan.
