My main complaint now is the "unearned run" problem in the game.

Since that is well documented in the forum I find no need to do it again.

As to the comment about getting out. I played the first round of a 36 hole
golf tournament. Then had lunch with about 40 live frends. And will do the same tomorrow. Since there was almost five grand in the pot it was not a bunch of beer guzzlers playing. What did you do ?

Me? I spent all of today in bed with a beautiful coed. I had LOTS more fun than you did.

BTW, I like the game a lot and I have less than a thousand posts.

The main reason I am waiting for the update is that it most likely will update the 2010 MLB quickstart. In the ML Roster Issues pinned thread, Injury Log said he had been making a lot of changes that will improve it that I have patiently been waiting for. It is not so much that I want the latest transactions...it is more that there are little issues with ratings (for example, many of the lower tier relievers were not done), contracts, and team assignments that can be improved. In fact, Injury Log said one thing he was working on was adjusting ratings in such a manner that they aren't totally out of whack but still compel the AI to keep the ML rosters pretty close to what they were on opening day. He said it would be rolled with updates to the game so before I jump into a 2010 MLB quickstart, I'll be waiting for an update.

Kind of funny how some of these threads start wandering around, isn't it?

Hey, I don't care. It kills the time while we hang around waiting to see what's going to be in this update.

Oh, yeah. That's what we were talking about. Huh. Well? No updates on the update.

Gonna apply/reply anyway, and even though I fall short of your minimum post-count for fanboy status, it seems. Hey, look at it this way: What do you expect from a Yankees fan?

You are a Troll Poster. You came up with only one minor fault, which is not only proof that you don't know what you are talking about. It's also a tribute to a highly complicated and realistic text simulation game that you can come up with only one of "so many bugs."

Your snarkiness aside, people like you have agendas other than legitimate, constructive criticism of the game. OOTP better never make me a moderator, because I would winnow dozens of "members" like you the heck out of here. And don't act offended, after your fanboy and chubby rat's a** comments.

"OOTP should be ashamed." Where the heck do these people come from, anyway? Competitor boards, for one thing...

You are sooooooo far off base. I don't play, sell or promote any other computer game. Not interested in any baseball game but ootp. And don't give a d*m* what you or anyone else thinks.

But I don't want to waste time with a game that never shows much change (actually worse this year in respect to fielding) form year to year. I don't
mind spending the $30 bucks either.

Just FIX some of the things that are easy fixes.

Hmmm. Maybe I was a bit wrong about you. I was just about to block you out before seeing that you were online already with a response. And a reasonable one, not what I was expecting. Okay, but how about you toning down the rhetoric? Without any provocation, what is the need for a "fanboy" dismissal and words needing *'s?

And I don't know Markus and the others from a hole in the ground, but they have nothing to be ashamed of. I don't care if that's fanboy talk or not; I just see it as wrong, what you said. It will not stand.

Do you have league files handy? Simply describing the problem in gereral is not enough. The best chance for getting a bug resolved is to gather as much detail as possible about when it happens and the steps one can take to consisently reproduce it. Having the league files available will also be helpful, as Markus will sometimes requests those to help him track down the issue.

Many folks do little more than post a generic comment saying, "This doesn't work!" Not exactly a sure-fire recipe for tracking down and fixing the error.

I don't even know what the well-known unearned run problem is. Who has posted about it?

thats not known. And simply not knowing about a known problem is the same as knowing about a known problem and doing nothing known about it.

If it's what I think it is, he's referring to the latest installment in the http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ong-right.html thread, which hasn't been updated in a few days. It began in another thread of a similar name, but detoured into playground tussles. On the other hand, if you review post histories, you'll discover that, like aspects of the game, the flaws being focused on by any one individual tend to be dynamic, and often change for reasons that provoke only curious speculation on my part. FWIW

Ah, ok, that thread. I agree with you. The impact of those contested scoring decisions by the game engine is IMHO pretty marginal.
And now I know.
