REAL basic question

I'm embarrassed to even ask this, but... well... can't play it without knowing.

I have looked through things (OOTP 8, free version) and it looks absolutely great. I'm an old refuge from Strat-O-Matic and am used to lots of options, so I'm really very happy.

BUT... how do I actually like... START... a new game. I try to do it (Mini One Game) and I get all the great screens and all, but... how do I actually start and play the game?

Hard to guess where you are hanging up, but let's try a "basic" question: in starting the game, did you make yourself the manager of a team? If not, that could make it confusing as to what to do next. If you did do that, then there is a lot of info on your manager home screen relating to things you can do in managing your team.

Hope that gets you started.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I had a typo with my username that I didn't realize and couldn't log in.

I finally found the manual (with a friend's help) in the OOTP 8 section and realized this question better belongs there.

But it seems I just didn't finish setting up my league correctly, not realizing how complex it was. Or... I didn't see the baseball pull-down menu (as a pull-down) which is where I think I have to start the game.

In any case, thank you for replying to an incredibly stupid and premature question.

Hey, if no one on this board responded to "stupid" questions, I would have been a lot of hurt in the early days.
