Special Rules & Settings: Player modification purchases, returning retirees possible, some future players related to past stars, advertising available, contract buy-outs available, no 1st round draft picks available for trade (see rules on site for specifics). Fictional teams may be placed anywhere in the world (no real life ML teams) and minors with your own custom logo, uni's, etc.

The PTBBL is set to start with an inaugural draft once the teams have all been named. Starting year is 1970, and although the financials don't exactly match up to real life numbers from that time, it gives the league a chance to play for some time before changing them.

Very interesting in joining the league, just a couple quick questions.

Firstly, are the team names and locations on the league home page set in stone or will owners be allowed to relocate and rename the teams pending acceptance?

If we are allowed to relocate and rename, under the "What team are you interested in?" field, do you want us to list the team name from your league homepage, or the team name we are proposing?

I believe many of those team names are generated by the game, since Rory just did a test run. That's what shows up in the HTML reports.

In the forums, there is a thread for selecting team names. You can basically choose your city and nickname, as long as it's not a MLB team.

Should be a fun league.

Nothing on the reports is set in stone, as George mentioned, it was just a test upload.

You can mention the team you'ld like to create when you sign up, or your favorite ML team. The team selection takes place officially in the forums.

Quick bump to let everyone looking know that we are getting close to filling up. I have 4 GM's who have not selected their teams yet, and only need 6 more to signup to get to the starting 24 teams I would like to have. One last bump. Looking for 4 more people to fill out the league so we can get started. We will go with either the 20 teams we have now, or 24 (if we fill up by Thursday, 1/21/10), and on Friday the official file will be released.

The league currently has one opening available. We are early on in our inaugural draft (Round 5), so there's still plenty of time to put together the kindof team you want. You can also rename the team and it's minor league affiliates.

The league has one opening currently with the Johannesburg Zulu. The previous owner did some good work on logos and uniforms for the team, but has not been in contact for some time. We are currently near the end of July in our first season, which is 1970.

Any new owner will be allowed to relocate during the next off-season, if they so desire. Please inquire via the "Join the League" link on the league's home page.

I was informed today that the owner of the Enumclaw Stallions will no longer be able to continue. If you are interested in taking over this team, please visit the league site as listed in the original posting to submit an application.

As with any new owner, they will be allowed to relocate their ML and affiliate teams during the next off-season.

Still looking for someone to take over the Enumclaw Stallions. They are currently ranked 7th overall in the top systems category, and will be selecting 7th overall in the upcoming First Year Player's Draft.

The league is currently discussion adding coaches next season, as well as the possibility of scouts. We are just entering the first playoff sim of our inaugural season, so it's as good a time as any to get into the swing of things.

The Zulu are once again looking for a dedicated leader. We just added coaches to our league and are running a series of personnel signing sims before free agency officially opens. Visit the league site and apply if you are interested.
