The VBL began in 1995 and has been an active league since then. A league has never closed due to lack of participation or competitiveness, but merely a Commissioner's need to move on for personal reasons.

I run the VBL3 which is sim'd on FPS Baseball (old school) and we've been going since 2002 and are in Year #15.

We have a very active ownership in the VBL3, VBL4 and the VFL (football sim) and we are now expanding to the OOTP X World.

Since the VBL3 is "current" and VBL4 began in 1980 and is now in 1991, the VBL6 will use all fictional players.

If you think you know how to run a team, this will be a spot to prove it. Only certain ratings will appear which means most of your scouting will be done by 1 person. You.

Prior to the initial draft the Commish simmed 3 seasons to give owners an idea of the performance and capability of each player.

We just opened the league up to the "public" with experienced VBL'ers getting the first crack.

The best part about the VBL is the Commish does not own a team, and never will.

So no longer will you have to wonder why the Commish's team is in first place or why he always seems to get the best prospects.

If you want
-a competitive OOTP X league
-a league where owners participation at a high level
-a league where the Commish never owns a team
-A chance to prove you can manage a team without the computer telling you "this player has good power"
-And a chance to start fresh and join a community of owners that have been around for OVER 15 YEARS

Then you've been looking for the VBL6.

If you want the above out of an OOTP league, then I guarantee you, you won't look any further than VBL6.

Just to let you know, I know the VBL is mostly foreign to the board here...

The VBL3: Been running since 2002, uses FPS, has 28 active owners. In Season #15

The VBL4: Running since 2005, uses OOTP 6.5, has 26 active owners

The VBL6: Starting with OOTP X, half of the spots are filled with veteran VBL owners.

We're an active bunch, a creative and competitive brand and you will agree when you join up.

(VBL1 and VBL2 were old school and ran from 1995 - 2001 with FPS Baseball)

I have been on VBL for about 2 years and have a team in VBL3, VBL4, VFL, and VBL6 now.

The VBL family of leagues are all awesome, this is our newest addition. There aren't many places out there where you are going to find a league where the commish simply does it for the good of the league and doesn't own a team.

This is a league that will be around a very, very long time. We are talking real years, not virtual years.

Only 12 spots left see if you can hack it with some talented owners!

We've had a bunch of people contact our Commish in the past few days. It's possible we only have 3-5 slots left! Contact today to guarantee a spot in this league. We are not a "Grand Opening, Grand Closing!" bunch. We've got history backing us up here!

Wooohooo only 3-5 spots left in a league that DOESN'T have a team owned by the commish so you know its all going to be on the up and up and you'll get to mold your team from the very beginning. How could you not wanna join this league.

I have been a member of the VBL4 for 3 years and just signed up for VBL6.

Trust me, from experience........you will not find better leagues. The group of GM's that they have (and the Commish) are unbelievable. Very active, very knowledgeable group.

Before we had VBL6, I searched for an OOTP X league to go along with my VBL4, and I could not find one worth joining.

I agree with everything that has been stated above. The VBL family is a close knit group and the owners are some of the most passionate sim owners around. I have been a member of VBL3 for 11 seasons and VBL4 for 12 seasons and I have no doubt that VBL6 will be around for a long long time.

Become a part of the the VBL family, you will not be disappointed.

The league is almost full, I believe we have 25 of 28 owners. This league is being run by a commish who will NEVER own a team so its going to be the most level playing field out there.
Once the league is full you'll be able to build a team from the ground up, join now!

We've made it through the initial draft and the first spring training, and as expected, a couple of owners have decided they did not have enough time. The following teams are currently looking for new owners.
