Newbie question about fictional players

I'm considering purchasing the game and I've been able to find that you can have the game create fictional players, but can the user create specific fictional players? That is, can the user create a player, name him and decide what he's good at and how good?

Sorry if this is a repeat question. I tried a search with no success, I hope I didn't miss something, though I would have thought this question must have been asked before.

Yes, what you want to do is possible and quite easy to do.
