Having trouble getting demo started

I downloaded the demo yesterday and can't seem to get it started. When I double click the program, I get a pop up that states "Create Primary surface unsupported mode" then after clicking ok, another one pops up and says "Initapp Error Initdirectdraw" then nothing happens.

I tried changing the graphics setup and enabling the Direct3D and fullscreen mode. When I do that and double click the program, nothing happens at all.

Here are my computer specs:
64MB ram
Windows 98
Roughly 3 GB free hard drive space
433MGz (I know the minimum requirments state "486" - could that be the problem?)
Direct X 8.0 - Double checked
Screen set at 1024x768

Should I assume that if I can't run the demo that I won't be able to run Ootp4? Thanks for any help!

The problem isn't with your processor. It sounds like something with Directx... but I"m not an expert in this stuff... so I'll defer to a more knowledgable person.

Have you updated your video drivers recently? That could be the problem.

Thanks, the drivers were the problem. I forgot that I had uninstalled them a while ago.

Since I can now run the demo, should I be able to run Ootp4 when it comes out?

I believe you should be able to run it, although you might want to get some more RAM; its fairly cheap now.. and increasing the amount of RAM will speed up OOTP (and other games/applications) tremendously.
