As a Brewers fan I just wanna say... I miss Ben Sheets... I just hope he can stay healthy for you guys like he couldn't for us. He hasn't played a full season since 2004 and only once since then has he started 30+ starts.
Still I miss him... maybe we can swipe him back from you guys during a mid season trade.

LOLZ.
I wish flanyboy5 was the Brewers GM and Rizon was Billy Beane. |

If I woke up one morning to find myself being Billy Beane, I'd do a swan dive off the Bay Bridge.

At least you weren't the guy that gave up Dan Haren, Daric Barton, and Kiko Calero for Mark Mulder

The west was supposed to be a powerhouse this year. All teams are failing.
This is disappointing, all around.

Well they are playing each other a lot so it's not surprising to see them all bunched up. They are pretty evenly matched.
Still, nobody looks like badasses in this division. |

Holy crap, Eric Patterson just golfed a home run to RF. It actually went over the fence.

Listen to the announcer at 10 seconds, that is classic.

It is so weird seeing the A's get so much press right now. It pretty much never happens.
Dallas Braden is going to be on Letterman doing the Top 10 list tonight. Also he has the next SI cover. |

Sounds like Cust is coming back today.
2 runs in the last 3 games is not going to cut it. |

on the plus side, Suzuki played in his second game for the Rivercats last night. 14 inning game and only 3 AB's so he isn't ready for full-time work, but he is playing

Well last night's game was really ugly. Sounds like Duchscherer is done for the year again, and pretty much done as an A.
That means Vin Mazzaro will get his spot in the rotation, at least until Anderson comes back. At least Cahill looks decent so far and Ben Sheets finally got his **** together. Of course, then there's the whole scoring runs thing... |

Hey ... when you start selling seats for $2.09 ... what do you expect? They have a bunch of gimmicky promotions going on this week in honor of Braden. I think tonight was $2.09 seat night in Plaza Reserved. Section 209 seats will be on sale for Braden's next start (Wednesday, IIRC). Bunch of funky promos -- plus, with the Giants in town this weekend, a few more. The A's always seem to do great when they have these gimmicks going on. I'm sure Charlie O is smiling.

Last night's attendance was only 10,000. But, it was rainy. But still.
