Creating a league with fantasy draft with real players?

I've got a bad feeling this isn't possible but how do you create a fictional league with a fantasy draft of real players?

IMPORTANT: You must still be in the preseason after creating the game to do this.

Create the standard 2010 MLB league. Then goto:

ML - League Options and Rules
Select Release all Players & Schedule Inaugural Draft
Delete and Change the league structure to your hearts content.
Then do the draft.

That's it.

Okay I see it now. Is there a way to fix the budget so that it stays the same as it is in the beginning? I dont want anyones budget to increase or decrease.

I guess I don't see the question here. If you're creating a fictional league of new teams, how is the budget going to stay the same for two different teams?

I guess you could go back and manually change each new team to match the front office numbers from the original MLB league for the new teams. Such as owner budget etc.

Well I just set the teams budgets to 95 million each. I dont want any team to have an advantage financially. Will a salary cap fix this?

I know a salary cap stops it from going above but is there a way to have like a minimum they spend? I dont want any teams to spend like twice as much as the lowest team etc.

Basically What I want is everyones payroll to stay at 95 millionish.

So in the 85-110 million range. How would I get that?

I don't see a floor payroll setting.

Perhaps set the soft cap tax on average payroll at 100% and the tax above soft cap rate at 100%.

Make sure the media contracts are the same for every team.

I have found the FOOL-D quickstart to have the best financial settings.

Just d/l it and that should lead you in the right direction.
