OOTP History v5.2 Update

Okay, after the much maligned version 5.1, this version should fix most of the problems everyone was having. I successfully ran it against all the files sent to me (about 8 or 9 different leagues), so hopefully I've covered everything.

Get it here.

Thanks

What goes in "league directory" on the general tab? Is that where it gets the photos?

I am still getting a run time error. My league directory is set to the league's current folder in OOTP.

One more question...

If the regular season ended on 9/23, but a tie-breaker was played on 9/24...what do I put for last game and does it matter?

SORRY!!!

I was using a backup database where I had already entered all the options but not imported anything. I tried from scratch and it works fine.

Mr. Cato,

I was one of the people who sent you files to check out. v5.2 works perfectly! Thank you!

I would make it 9/25 since there are probably no games scheduled that day. The date, if I remember correctly, is just to determine the difference between regular season & postseason stats. So if you make the cutoff a day between the tiebreaker and the start of the playoffs I think it should work fine.

I thought it had something to do with figuring out traded players stats for each team.

For the end of season date, I would add 1 day to the last day of the season. If there's a tie, there'll be a game that day, and MLB counts those stats as part of the regular season. If there is no tie, there will be no games that day. Of course, if you disagree with MLB, then don't add a day.

The date is used to help split traded player's stats. The bat_game file lists all games the player played, but it doesn't mark playoff games any differently. So, without knowing the end of season date, playoff stats would be add in with regular stats.

The beginning date is used to ignore trades that happened before the season. This was put in just to reduce processing time since pre-season trades don't need to be split.

We were another league that had trouble with 5.10. I imported the stats into version 5.20 and created the html with no problems. Thanks again!

CATO- I have a problem, maybe you can fix if I send you my files?

Short summary - I imported in 5.1 and got an error. Downloaded 5.2, and imported, woohoo, everything went through. But oh-no, now I have duplicates of all of the teams. And it is causing errors. Is there anyway you can fix this? Maybe if I send you the dat you can erase them or something..

I really want to continue this career, but can't until my history is properly functioning!!
