I POSTED THIS IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSION ON ACCIDENT!! sorry
Could you guys tell me if 1 of these 2 possibilities could work for a online draft league? 1) Create a league where owners will meet for a live-fast draft (via chat room) 2) The owners will hold a draft on their PC's. I know you would have same players on the same team but I'm just wondering if this could be a possibility for a league. When OOTP4 comes out I plan on starting a league with one of these scenarios. How much web space do you current commish's have for your leagues? IF ANY (serious please!!) OWNERS are interested please e-mail at OOTP4commish@hotmail.com Thanks in advance... |

I'm probably going to end up reiterating what Scott said, but here's my two cents.
1) It works, but don't bet on being able to get more than 2 rounds done in an hour. You are lucky to get even that. (Based on a league with 30 teams). So, plan on being there for a long time if you try to get the whole thing done at once. Personally, I think that drafting 30 rounds is good, although that takes very long. I like that because it allows you to pick your entire active roster and a few prospects. But, 15 picks could be enough, just allow your owners to have some free cuts becuase the AI doesn't always pick players that people would normally pick. For instance, the AI doesn't look at secondary positions and often drafts players regardless of age and salary, and people may complain about being stuck with Harold Baines for 3 years at a 1.5 mill salary, etc. 2) As far as I know, this can't be done. Good luck.
