Perfect game

I am just reporting that for the first time in my baseball game playing history a pitcher that I controlled has pitched a no hitter, I was watching every pitch and getting more and more nervous as the game started to reach the late innings, but my guy did it. So Brandon Webb pitched 9 innings, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts and no hits for the Tampa Bay Rays! I am so glad that I decided to trade for him after the Diamondbacks put him up for trade. God this has made me happy, I might even re-sign him at the end of the year

Sorry to be a kill joy but that's a no hitter, not a perfect game. The walks null the PG.

yeah I just read the differences between a perfect game and a no hitter, still for someone who grew in a country where baseball isn't really popular I am still proud of the achievement.

Enjoy your no-hitter as they are rare, only a couple every season. That's the great thing about baseball anything can happen...

I had my first no-hitter in version 10---- I have had every version dating back to OOTP2. A rare, awesome experience that I'll never forget.

I play out about 30-50% of my current team's games and of course the one no-hitter thrown this year was by one of my starters on a day I simmed instead of played. Bah.

Closest I've been to a no-hitter was a guy who lost it with one out in the 9th.

I've had two and one thrown against me. But I have played out LOTS of games. Nearly 30 years now between the different versions.

Just had a guy lose one with 1 out in the ninth. Even though not my first, I was nervous and itchy during that one too. Darn it he lost it though.

NEVER, EVER, in all of those played out games have I had a perfect game, or one thrown against me. Still hoping....

Seriously they are very rare. I sim my seasons and have been playing since OOTP 5. I have literally simmed hundreds of years and only twice have had a pitcher on my team throw a no hitter. Congrats for watching one in progress!

I've played out literally thousands of games over four versions now.

I've seen probably five or six no-hitters played out - two of them were against me. I also admit to breaking "the code" and bunting to get on to break up a no-hitter. A computer's feelings can't be hurt! Although if you want to flog me for that, I won't object

Closest to a perfect game though - I got 8.1 innings once before it was broken up

I was simming in a local league and saw two perfect games in the matter of 2 weeks of simming. I thought that was an amazingly rare occurence. Then I realized that both of them were thrown against my A Ball Team.

Based on this, I now plan on spending some significant time reviewing the offense of this team to see how bad it really is...

I had Matt Garza give up no baserunners until the ninth, when he walked someone

. Believe it was a number 7 or 8 batter too (don't have the league anymore). He still got the nohitter

One of my two no hitters was also close to being perfect. In the seventh inning my third baseman made an error allowing the only base runner of the day to reach base. No hits, no walks, no hit batsmen. Only the error by the third basemen. I posted about it here at the time.

Man that was soooo close.

But still no perfect game here either after thousands of games played out too.
