2009 Awards/All Star appearance not in Awards section

I noticed that for players that won awards or were selected to the All Star game in 2009, they do not have entries for them in the Awards section of the History tab. The history at the bottom of the page has an entry for the accomplishments, but the award section does not.

Can you give me more details? What year did this game start in? If 2010, the only place the individual accomplishments/awards will appear is in the player's card in the history tab or the BNN player page tab. If 2009 or earlier, perhaps you haven't reached the 2010 preseason yet (somewhere in February) when the league History tab is updated. Those are the only two possible explanations I think. Perhaps you could give me a screenshot or two of what you're talking about, as well as an answer to when you started this game, if this doesn't answer your question.

Strated in 2010.

When I go to a player's history tab, for players that won awards or made the ASG in 2009, the accomplishment appears in the History section at the bottom, but not in the Awards section at the top.

I will post a screenshot later when I get home.

I assume you're talking about the MLB quick start game. If so, there are numerous errors regarding the leagues history. The "powers that be" know about them, and they may be fixed in the future, but I think they are trying to address more pressing issues.

I've even seen this in non-quickstart games in prior versions. Usually it would happen with players who had just retired, but that has nothing to do with this case. It seems historical awards if you were starting a 2009 game in version X were pretty scattershot IIRC. Doesn't make it right, but I seem to recall it being so and it should be an easy thing to fix with the "Awards" text files being present in the stats folder.

Here's a screenshot of an example.

As you can see, the history section at the bottom correctly has Tim Lincecum's ASG appearance and Cy Young award. The awards section at the top, though, only has his 2008 accolades.

What's the date in your game? Awards don't become "official" until the preseason (somewhere at the beginning of February - sort of like a pitchers and catchers report date). If not that then hopefully by the time the 2010 season starts it will update and if that doesn't do it I have to throw it over to the vets or the big cheese himself.

I'm in late July of 2010. I started the game at the beginning of the 2010 season. The Awards section updated properly with the All Star appearances of 2010. It just doesn't include the real life 2009 awards.

The "Awards" are in the stats file for 09: Cy Young's, ROY and MVP. But they don't show up in the game, just created a new game to check and they don't show up in the players awards section.

I don't get why this wasn't fixed with the last update. I know it is a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but still...

I agree, but I also remember Markus said it would not be very easy to fix this. He said it could not be done before the last patch.
Let's hope that it would be fixed in the next patch.
