ESPN Draft Coverage

Okay, was it just me, or did they look completely half-assed last night? I don't remember it being this bad over the years. Berman looked flustered and frustrated, like he'd just walked in and was trying to wing it. Tom Jackson looked outright pissed at times, especially with Steve Young, who went on and on, talked over everyone else, and all but stopped true analysis from Kiper, Coach Gruden and Jackson. There was no real chemistry at the table, IMHO.

Anyone else?

Agreed...especially when anything revolving Tebow came up. Jackson was ready to start swinging I think.

I thought the coverage was fine. Entertaining. Because I live in Cleveland, the draft is particularly important this year. I watched most of the coverage Thursday and will watch most of it Friday.

I like all the blather, because I don't know most of the players and appreciate the information.

I got fed up with ESPN years ago. I follow the draft avidly on draft tracker.

I completely agree. I loved it when they cued the audio too soon and Gruden called someone a "dumb ass".
I was wondering if Steve Young was drunk.
It seemed like Gruden liked everyone. I took that to mean he did not want his words coming back to him if he ended up coaching the player in 2 years.
It seemed like Kiper kept getting drowned out. He is the one I enjoy the most on draft day. Mainly because I turn off ESPN for 2 weeks before the draft. If I don't I want to choke the life out of Kiper.
If Jackson had pimp slapped Young the 20th time Young interrupted him it would have been the best draft broadcast ever.

Too many chiefs, no indians.

I noticed Berman seemed ready for the retirement home, but didn't watch intently enough for anyone else to cue a notice.

That was Berman 10 years ago.
