Borrowed Uniform Designs By Ambermonk(inspired by Silvam)
I've been around OOTP since OOTP v2. I've messed around with Photo Shop over the years and have made several jerseys and a few logos. This past fall my computer crashed and I lost all of my jerseys for the league that I act as league Batboy. I needed to recreate all 24 jerseys for the league and knew if I did them all myself a lot of them would come out looking the very similar. I came to the OOTP Mod Boards looking for inspiration and I found it in the form of Athletics17 (if you don't know A's17 or his work check it out here http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-uniforms.html ). This guy has done some awesome work and always seems happy to help guide you or answer any questions you might have. A's17 got me back into the uniform making game which brings us to this post.
In one of A's post he made mention of a post from over 2 years ago by Ambermonk. Ambermonk posted many cool looking jerseys he had made and was sharing with the OTTP world how he had made them (If you make jerseys yourself or would like to learn how to it's well worth the read http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ed-silvam.html ). Ambermonk uses a lot of colors in his uniforms and I had wondered what his jerseys would look like if you broke them down into a format in which the game could read them. I took what Ambermonk shared with the OOTP world and made them game "readable" and that's a lot of what I'm sharing with you today. (I just want to add that this is how I "colored in" Ambermonk's jerseys, there are many other ways to translate the work he has done if you break them down into only three colors (Red-Blue-Green)) I've created nothing I'm going to post here. I'm a color-by-numbers guy and Ambermonk was kind enough to share his work and I colored over it. I've also used Jersey Template v3.0 which was created by Deft & NoPepper and you can find hosted at Padresfan's Mod Website ( OOTP FaceGen Files ). I'd like to mention Corsairs who in my research for this post made a jersey that looks a lot like what I'm sharing here today and to Gern44 (a fantastic logo maker) for asking me to share a template with the OOTP world of what I've been posting on the mod boards over the last month or so. I ask that if you see any of the above guys on the boards you take a few seconds and give them a Thumbs-Up of THANKS! for what they've added to and shared with the OOTP universe. To save the Red-Blue-Green jerseys into your game just right click on the uniforms you like and put them in your folder listed as (make sure your game is turned off): Out of the Park Developments/OOTP 10/jerseys You can save them one at a time or download all the uniforms with the zipped file here: http://www.thewwbl.com/images2/OOTPB...OOTPjersey.zip I hope you enjoy the jerseys Last edited by [WWBL]Batboy; 04-26-2010 at 07:01 AM. |

I was given an All-Star jersey template from A's 17 and it wasn't game friendly (I do not know who created the original template). I converted it to be game readable and added a pin stripe version as well. ![]() ![]() Samples: ![]() ![]()

Thanks for throwing those in Batboy. It is nice to freshen up the templates for new jersey designs. I have wanted to do some new stuff but the creativity hasn't been flowing as of late. Great work to you, abermnonk, deft, no pepper, micropterus58, reds1, davwms, gern44, codyg, truthserum, ry1220, and tombair, cephsasjames, silvam14. All of you guys(and others I may have forgotten) have added a ton of depth to this game. Thanks.

Great work! I love to see new uniforms!
Thought my league was all finished last year...but of course, with OOTP11, I decided to start fresh - 12 team majors (to allow room for expansion, 36 minor league teams, and 40 independent teams - most with historically accurate names). I'll be posting stuff here as I finish.

I would also recommend that you create a sleeveless jersey which I believe would be a valuable addition to the work that you've already done. Below is an example of the Oakland Olives Jersey which is one of my favorites. Keep up the good work, and feel free to use any of my designs that you like.

Those look really great. They are a definite boost to those of us who really customize our fictional leagues. I've got one with fully customized team names, unis, and other stuff thats been essentially dormant for a while, but I'm definitely going to get back into it at some point to start using some of these great custom tools.

Thank you, Ambermonk. I'm glad you approve since it is your work I'm piggy backing on. I'll try and get an Olive jersey up tonight when I get home. I think you are right and that a sleeveless jersey would look nice. (I agree with you - the Oakland Olive jersey looks cool) It does mean a lot to me that you stopped by and you liked the templates. Thanks again, dude! |

I used your jersey templates and logos from Cephasjames and Silvams to give my league a much better look. A couple of examples of uniforms in my league are included. |
