Too many CG losses?
Does anyone else notice an inordinate amount of pichers going the distance in a loss? I am chronicling a http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-best-80s.html replay and have been highlighting key pitching matchups. Is seems like almost every one of them end with the losing pitcher getting the complete game. Is this happening to anybody else?

I know, really weak. What can I say, it's late on the first night of the NFL draft.

Try changing the hook settings for pitchers in team strategies.

Agreed. I did this years ago and have never had a problem since. For a fantasy league, the default strategy settings are really quite weak. The problem is - there are so many strategy screens that it takes forever to correct them all.

This is one of my biggest issues with this game. Everything has to be tweaked and tuned and adjusted to get accurate real life stats. Shouldn't that be what the default gives you?

So what is the rate of CG losses you are getting in your league, and how many were there in the same season for the league?

And that's the beauty of OOTP: you really can play it your way.

My league is a little different since there are a lot of good teams so I'm not sure what is the players and what is the game. If you just opened up a historical sim and played and got accurate stats, you would know its the players now. However, the game dosen't seem to give accurate RL stats for every major category (it seems there is always one that is off) so the confusion of what is contributing to your out of whack stats in compounded.

If I liked wasting hours of my life playing with settings, it would be fine. However, I don't. I want to play the game and enjoy it but I rarely get to do that because I'm always in the settings.

I also hate taking a long time getting my leagues set up, but because of that I play fictional and know all of my settings that I absolutely need to be changed, and am fine with whatever the game has at default (for example, I always put on ghost players, turn off spring training, set stat depth to high rather than very high, and change the power PCM to .8 - .9, but besides those and a couple other things I leave it as it is). Really the only thing that takes me a lot of time in the creation of a league is if I am creating a large league, changing the locations, as it always has like 8 Albuquerques, 6 Mesas, 5 Virginia Beaches, etc. while never having Cincinnati...
