Fictional Historical League / Financials not working
I started a 1977 fictional league and didn't import the financial settings to set it up initially, so I went in by hand and put in the proper financial info for the player salaries. I also had the option checked to "Import adjusted financial settings after each year." I then clicked the button to adjust all of the fictional players' salaries. So for that first year, all of the salaries were normal. After the playoffs were over though, suddenly it was using 2010 financial data. Argh.
So, I started a new 1977 fictional league and imported the 1977 financial settings. But, after the inaugural draft is over, it sets up the league using 2010 financial data. This is baffling. I just played through a historical league starting in 1977, and I had no problems with the finances. What's going on? Last edited by malichai11; 04-25-2010 at 06:49 PM. |

And did you make sure the year is in fact 1977?

The second time, I did it BEFORE I started the league. Yes, it's 1977 in both leagues. |

How would you start a game in 1977 in historically accurate teams/financials but using fictional players?

Problem solved. I started a new game, this time choosing the Start a Standard Game option as opposed to the template I'd been using which must've been borked somehow.
