I would suggest downloading it though, as the boxed version has SecuROM and requires the CD to always be in the drive. If you're planning on using it in two locations, it would be inconvenient to cart the disc back and forth.

This thread has more info: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d-version.html

Another difference between the CD version and the download version is that the patches are different. People using the CD version of the game won't be able to use the patches posted here.

This is good to see. Get the game out where it can be seen by an audience that is unfamiliar with the genre.

I just went to BB and submitted a review. Says to allow 72 hours before they post, hope they put it up. Easy way for us to help get the word out.

Both versions will receive the same patches. However, Viva (the publisher) requires some time to process patches and provide updates, whereas we can just post ours on our web site as soon as its done! Because we're new to our relationship with Viva, we're not totally sure yet how long it will take them to get the updates posted...

Because the game is distributed by a publisher that is responsible for updates and patches.

If you remembered what happened here after Season Ticket Baseball hit gaming shelves across American you would not view this as a good thing.

And, to make an assumption and be selfish for Markus;

My guess is that OOTP gets a bigger cut from download than from the boxed version.

A tiny fraction of those people turned out to be worthwhile and stayed. The rest of them, as the phrase I read here goes, made Baby Jesus cry.
