Draft Questions

Hey all, I have a couple draft questions. The draft pool was just released, and 1) I'm not seeing any good SP prospects (the best has like 2 star potential), and 2) none of the players are affiliated with any colleges or high schools. They have stats, but no actual team.

I just want to know if these are normal. I can understand that there just happens to be no good SP prospects this season, but the no team thing seems fishy.

Thanks.

Do you have feeder leagues?

If no, then your draft prospects have stats from "imaginary" college or high school. They are real stats that you can use to base opinions of players on, just imaginary colleges and high schools.

Sorry, should have specified. I had feeder leagues before (imported this game from OOTPX), but I deleted them. The thing is the players aren't part of any team, not even an 'imaginary' one. Under team, all it says it '-', for all the players I've looked at so far.

Markus stated one of the new features this year was, even if you have no feeder leagues, rookies will still have college/highschool stats.

It is a welcome feature from most responses I've seen. IMO it's better than looking at a draft pool full of rookies with no stats to base an opinion on.

Right, which is why I deleted my feeder leagues, but I thought the players would be assigned some kind of "imaginary" team, which is why I'm asking whether or not the fact that, under team, all the players have '-' is normal.

In mine, they have colleges or high schools, when you look at the player where it will tell you signability and money demands it will list a school or college. Or after they are drafted in the history tab it will show when they were drafted and from what school as well. Hope this helps.

It does, thanks, I see where it says what school they're from. I thought it might display it in the stat line under 'Team'.

it seems to me that the team is not listed in the stat line because the game usually uses the team abbreviation here and since there are thousands of high school/college teams, using abbreviations for them would just be confusing. just my assumption based on observation.
