How many offline leagues do you do at a time?

I was just wondering how many offline leagues other people do at a time, and what kind of leagues?

I currently am doing a regular 2010 Chicago Cubs, but I am thinking of also starting one fictional and one historical. This way I wont get bored as quick because I can always switch leagues and also I get to try all the types of leagues

I do a random debut historical, a small 16 team all fictional, playing in god mode (Don't run a team). I'm also still playing Skydog's NABL as my main solo.

So that's 3

Oh man, I think that was one of my favorite solo leagues. Does it have the Vancouver Lumberjacks?

Yes sir that's the one. I can't remember but I'm thinking it was for version 8. Anyhow, playing it slow and steady. It's my therapy league after a long day at work!

I've always been interested in a league like that but I've never been able to figure out how to set it up. How did you set it up?

Usually just 1 league.
I have 2 this time though, my fictional league and Cooperstown all-time greats quickstart league that ships with the game.

I have in the past always just used 1 league. In retrospect I wish I would of saved some of the leagues instead of deleting them---as I usually return to a similar setup.

I think it is a good idea to do a couple of different league, see which one grabs your attention. I am thinking of doing this myself.

When I first downloaded last week, I played around a bit with the MLB quickstart, but then I started to do a little historical simming, and finally, I setup a historical league in 1901 that runs along with a fictional league--with players moving between the 2 leagues.

I now am thinking of doing a more modern MLB-type setup, with a draft, full minors etc.

Usually I'm only actively running one league, but I've maintained three in-depth and fully customized leages for a long time. One of them got so large that it was impractical running it on my laptop. One of them I designed very large and never really got it optimized because I made it on my desktop and I always played OOTP on my laptop. My third, which was my newest, was on my laptop and designed to run quickly on that machine. Unfortunately, my laptop is out of commision so I've gone back to my second, largest league, which was fully backed on an external hard drive. I've finally got a seriously sweet computer for running OOTP though, with enough RAM and processing power to handle as large of a universe as I want, so I'm really looking forward to this league coming into fruition.

My biggest problem with OOTP is that I often spend more time planning a league and setting it up than I do playing it . I don't know what I'd do if I tried playing more than one at a time.

For this version I'll probably stick with my 16 team fictional Summer League for a while. Eventually I'll import my Ghana League from OOTP10, and I might re-start either my Global League or my African League [both fictional, of course] from past versions. I also will probably recreate my Cleveland Indians 1995 dynasty.

At different times I am in the mood for different types of leagues.

1 Fictional Universe (16 teams + 24 team independent league) in god Mode.

1 MLB with fictional players (24 teams, no minors) in god Mode.

Only one.

I want to keep my focus on one franchise, and I don't play real rosters or historical, so my one fictional is the way I go

I'm trying to do start one now, but in the end I never end up sticking with one. I like many others spend a buttload of time planning.

I stick to 1 league at a time. And I keep default MLB rosters/rules.
