problem negotiating with draftee
I have a problem when th e"slot" bonus is $0, and the owner will not approve anyhting above slot - when you enter $0, it gives you an error message "please enter a bonus"; when you enter any other number, it says the owner won't approve...in either case, can't seem to offer the draftee anything and so can't sign him!

Actually I don't think it's a bug. Did you draft him past the 5th round? If so, the recommended slot bonuses for those people are $0. You also have no budget meaning you cannot offer him anything. It's like if you had $0 left for FA, they aren't going to let you make an offer with no money.
No bug, you just have no money.

I understand I have no money, but the owner seems to allow offering the slot bonus to all my other draftees (I drafted 4 players at the same time, and offered 3 of them their slot bonus, ranging from $60 to $930, with no problem -this is the only one that gave me a problem).
Also, even if I have no money, why shouldn't I be able to offer someone $0 - doesn't take any money to do that!?!? |

Your owner will always allow you to offer slot (or less). The recommended slot for that pick is $0, so your owner will let you offer nothing. You have no money, so you can't offer more than that. The player won't accept $0, so it doesn't much matter if the game allows you to offer a $0 bonus.

Realize the player in this case won't accept $0, but what if he would?
The fact that I CAN'T offer him $0 because the game prohibits that entry would be a problem in that case - simply trying to point out a potential problem...not that it mattered in this particular situation, but that it could in some others. |
