Tossing around an idea of a new league

I'm tossing around the idea of starting a new league with the premises listed below

16 team fictional league with AAA, AA, A and Rookie Level Ball clubs
Owners would be responsible for submitting a logo, city and team names for all levels and I will put those in the game. We will use FA compensation handled within the game.

What I would do is after receiving all teams I would then sim from 1901 to present day to give our league lots of history and then the league would start from there. I would want this to be a heavy article writing league from owners and "guest" writers as well. There would be the possibility of expansion down the road but we will see

Sims would take place M, W and Saturdays 10 days each.

You can find me on aim at LisaKidsNPoker most of the day.

Let me know if there would be interest on anyones end.

The only thing I see here is that with 109 year history that league file has the potential to be huge which will be a problem for people with lower bandwith.

Yeah, I thought about too I'd have to ask the league I'm in currently that is a fast sim paced league how he does the history and maintains the integrity of the file/download.

After the 109 year base sim, would you be resetting the rosters and having an initial draft? If that was your plan, I think my brother and I would be interested.

Also, I have a era_stats.txt file that I've tweaked for long term sims that might be a help. If you search the boards, you can find the version for OOTPX, but I also have one for OOTP 11. The basic idea is that I took 5 year averages for each stat for each year. That way statistical progression is smooth from year to year. I've also made an adjustment so that the late 90s are HR happy without being HR insane.

I've tossed around the idea of having a small draft of perhaps 5 rounds or so done manually and then the rest by CPU but I'm not quite sure which avenue I'm going to take on that.

If you need anyone else I'm interested. I've never done an online league though.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.
