Can't Play The Game .. Won't Install??

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this or not.

I am using Windows 7 .. I downloaded the OOTP 11 exe file .. I click on it to install and nothing happens .. I'm lost! Anyone??

right click and run as administrator. You'll have to do this to run the game too until Andreas says they've fixed the issue.

just a couple guesses, but have any of you guys tried temporarily disabling your anti virus and then installing again to see if it works? Is the ootp setup file complete? (should be 187,729 kb)

one of the other threads said to download the install using a different mirror. anybody know how to do that?

ok. It installed it on my desktop without any issues the other day, but for the heck of it I just downloaded it to my laptop and it wont install. It just closes like everyone mentioned. both computers are running win 7 64-bit. hmmm

My download from one of the mirrors is almost done .. hopefully that will work ..

At least I feel better that I'm not the only one having this problem

it definitely seems to be the file being hosted on amazonaws. (which is linked on the ootp main page) because the files sizes dont match.

amazonaws 187,729 kb
mirror # 3 187,002 kb

I re-downloaded the file using mirror # 3 and it installed fine.

Sorry guys! Mirror #5 PC version download does now work, the file is correct now. Uploading the Mac and Linux files now.
