Thanks because it sucks. I installed the historical facegen pics and started 1997 so I can play the Marlins. I get Al Leiter's Mets real pic, though I can navigate to the fg_files folder and find Al Leiter's Facegen file. Why won't the game use them automatically?

So I see it is not just me with the same problem. It wants to put the real photos instead of the fg files

Do you have your OOTP Preferences set to enable Face Gen pictures?

Face Gen files should go in the fg_files folder and real player photos should go in the photos folder (not to be confused with the pictures folder).

Once you place files in these locations and you create a new game, you should be okay. But please be aware that you may need to change your OOTP preferences for Face Gen and images to get the results you want, depending on whether you want to use the Face Gen stuff or the real photos.

FaceGen is enabled. Are they considered "fictional" pictures for league set up purposes?

It looks like it is looking for the photo first, then, of not found, the FaceGen file. I thought it should be the opposite. I am asking for fictional photos. I think it has to do with the "historical" league since the 2010 league is great with FaceGen

Thanks for all your help. Where do I find these folders in the game?

I just deleted all the real photos. Now I get glorious historical facegen. But some missing players cause some hysterical moments (Bob Gibson as a skinny white dude)

What happened to Manny's hair....or Tim Lincecum's hair? FaceGen doesn't do dread-locks?

This one will install the files in the proper directory so no manual moving of files will be necessary. Stay tuned, I will post here when it is ready...

New installer is available via Add Ons Central in the game. This one will put the images in the correct directory.

so do we just have to re-install? I don't see an option for re-downloading.

Good point. I think you will have to manually delete the downloaded file first.

1) Quit OOTP 11
2) Navigate to OOTP Baseball 11/addons/downloads
3) Delete the HistoricalFaceGens.tar file
4) Launch OOTP 11
5) Go to Add Ons Central and download/install the file

also, is it safe to delete all of the .jpgs and .fgs out of my root directory? Are there any other files besides .jpgs or .fgs that are supposed to be in the root directory, or just folders? were there any folders created that are not supposed to be in the root directory? would it be easier for me to just uninstall, delete everything, and start over????

If you install the 2010 MLB and historical facegen, is the second one going to overwrite the first one where they have duplicate names?

If so, is there a method that you recommend to use both?

Thanks
