Historical FaceGens

I downloaded and installed both the All-In-One and the Historical players FaceGens. If I create a historical league now and the Historical Players FaceGen gets more players added to it, will these new players get used in my existing league, or would I have to start a new league to utilize the new players?

I also downloaded the historical facegens in a 1957 historical replay I started. But when I clicked on Ted Williams, I didn't see a picture. I haven't used add-ons before; is there something else I am supposed to do to see them?

After you download them you need to start a new league.

and make sure after you click DOWNLOAD you click INSTALL.

I've downloaded and installed the historical FaceGen pack through Add-Ons Central, but all the FaceGen files were placed in the root directory of OOTP 11 documents. Shouldn't they have gone in the FaceGen or FG Files folder?

Not surprisingly, the FaceGen files are not showing up in the new historical game that I created after installing.

Anyone else having issues where your player's facegen picture keep reverting back to team logos once in a while? I can get the picture back if I click on the "Same Picture" option in the lower right hand corner, but why does this keep happening?

Hi, guess I'm confused. I downloaded the Face Gens for an All-Time Greats Franchise League (off the quickstart). I did install them, but the photos are not showing up. Where did I go wrong?

That is not quite correct. Any new facegen pictures, or any photos for that matter, will import into an existing league. However, it does not always happen immediately. The best thing to do is quit that league and/or quit OOTP entirely, then reboot the league. At that point you should get facegen pictures if they are available, or photos if they are available, a fictional picture is you have neither and you have fictional picture activated, or a generic picture.

Check to see that you have a bunch of .fg files in your fg_files folder. Then try rebooting OOTP, or at least quit that league and then start it up again.

They should be in the fg_files folder. You may have to manually move them if something got messed up with the install.

Yes, that was the solution. I've reported the issue as a possible bug with the Add-Ons installer.

Well, this didn't go as planned I guess. All the fg files, plus all the player pics are in the OOTP root folder. Ugh, what a mess. Where are we putting the image files?

Guys -

Found the problem with the installer. Sorry about that!!! I will have an updated version of the "Historical FaceGen Images" mod ready on my server in the next 3 hours or so. This one will install the files in the proper directory so no manual moving of files will be necessary. Stay tuned, I will post here when it is ready...
