I think I've actually been asking for it since before I'd heard of Pat Venditte lol.

Two things:
1. Can we edit the owners? 2. How do the new HS/College feature work when you're using the option to stock draft with Feeder Leagues and additional players? |

Nice to see owners with team spirit, wearing the uniforms and hats and all. Probably would be a little more realistic to have them in suits

Will there be a way to send an injured player to the minor leagues? Like if someone gets hurt for 6 months in spring training and you don't want to use up service time while he is hurt.

Nice features, all of them.
I however would like more info on how this dynamically evolving league works, is it totally random, how is it customizable, does it use a database as well to keep it in line with historical evcents, etc. PS, I am quite glad I pre-ordered this game. I dont think I have been this excited about a new OOTP release since the 2006 re-write.

Odd note - I used to play baseball with (and later against) that kid... Will it be possible for the two-way players to start the game as a DH then be moved to the mound thereby eliminating the DH or will the DH not be able to pitch as well.... is a Pitcher/DH possible where the guy is the starting Pitcher as well as "DH" and then when he is done pitching remains in the game as the Dh |

I just hope all these new features are being play tested well by the beta testers. These tease posts are making me want to start a game right away!
![]() Love all the new features by the way. I wasn't going to buy the new version until I read some of these "tease" posts. Now, just like every year, I'm hooked again. (But this is the last one dang it!)

You would of course, make it a very rare occassion that a player would become such a thing, much less an effective pitcher, but I believe when you sim into the future, especially over a hundred years out, it might become something slightly frequent. I have been working on my sons ability to kick with both legs already.....he may be right handed, but you can still teach effectiveness from the left side. I think it should be something like one in every 3000 players haha, and as you head more toward the future, slightly more often. And maybe a player can do both, but is really only any good with one arm....a slew of options, but I would love it to be implemented as a possibility. You can't do that in real life (leaving aside a few small technicalities). If the player is on the 40-man roster in spring training and is injured, he goes onto the major league club's DL.

2. The additonal players will get a real college/HS assigned, those from the feeders not of course.

Will the players that become coaches/managers be randomly selected, or will they be based on ability to some extent? It seems that elite players don't tend to become coaches that often these days. They tend to take a broadcasting job, or just walk away completely as they don't need the money. Or, maybe it's just random anyway, as there aren't many elite players, after all.
But, I'd at least make catchers more likely to do this, as there seems to be a lot of catchers-turned-managers. |

I taught myself to play darts with both hands at the age of about 19, so I know it's possible lol. From a game point of view, the AI is basically identical to that for switch hitters, with the addition that if the batter is a switch hitter then pitch from the side he's worst against. |

Being able to edit a player to do it is fine by me. If you want these guys for your fictional baseball world fine by me but having the game force these players on me, I don't like. I play a MLB type setup. How many of these guys have ever pitched on the pro level? I can't think of any and yet we throw out the number 1 in 3000 with a higher frequency in the future. Where does that come from? To throw out numbers of my own, if 1 in 3000 can do it and then 1 in a million of those has a chance of making it to the Majors then maybe it's ok, but only maybe. My 2 cents. |

I think as many things as possible should be options, so I'm not going to disagree.
