Yep, his entrance sort of reminded me of the long, Corey Spinks entrance a couple of years ago. I neglected to say that, I too, am a Pacman fan. He has the rare crossover appeal that has captivated the US fans even though he is from a smaller weight division because of his style, work rate and willingness to take on anybody in the world. Pacman is what the US fans are waiting for in an American HW. He has made his way from the bottom of the scales, barely 100lbs dripping wet, to mainstream primetime, has improved his boxing skills, enjoys his work and continues to be a good human being. Although, both those guys were too nice to each other, tapping gloves every round. He has taken on HOF opponents and has put himself in HOF contention after starting out as an one-handed brawler. Mosley/Pac would be a good, more entertaining fight, than the much anticipated PBF/Pac fight. A lot of offense in that one if Mosely has retained his quickness at his age. One thing that was being scouted by opponents was that the uppercut was getting through even though Clottey barely threw any punches. And boy, was Roach and Kellerman trying to call out PBF or what!

Updated Draft Board
Each promotional/management group will be given 25 points to use to select their 3 boxers during the initial draft. Each point is the equal value of a boxer's ranking. For example: George Foreman is a "12" rated fighter, so a promotional/management team would have to use 12 out of its 25 allocated points to select him, leaving only 13 points available to draft the next two boxers.
Just thought of this idea while going through my database - each promoter/managerial team may choose the fighter file of the particular boxer that they want to draft and manage. For example: Matt Skelton has files ranging from '"6-9" in ratings. You can choose how many points you want to use on him. This allows for some flexability while drafting. Maybe you want to draft Vitali Klitschko, but you do not want to spend the 12 points on him because it would severely hamper your ability to draft any other highly ranked boxers. Maybe you feel like taking a chance and believe that a "10" rated Vitali could get into the rankings as well as the "12" and have a chance to win a world title. This will allow each stable to make more decisions and will allow some flexability in drafting fighters. All unused points remaining from the draft are "bankable" and can be used to acquire more fighters in the future. All stables MUST draft three fighters in the initial draft and cannot save points by only drafting two fighters. Stables will acquire points by meeting universe requirements that will be posted on the Universe Information page in the future as they are drafted. Examples would be points for winning Regional/World Titles, wins versus Top 10 opponents, Title Defenses, etc. Draft Order 01. Buckeye State Promotions - Joe Louis (14), United States 02. Muckboys Promotions on the clock.
All Promotional teams need to start informing me about what one trainer and one cutman you want to hire for all three of your fighters. Doesnt matter if you choose the same. |

Golden Gate Promotions is on the clock. UK Boxing Group did not make a selection, however, it has 5 points and nobody can match that for the third round so I am sure that it can make up for it with a delayed selection.

Partial information...
SAL made a recommendation and helped explain an idea with me which I thought about all weekend. It was about sending the dat.files to all promoters as the uni progressed so that everybody would have all the uni information in front of them. The only thing is that I like the cloud of mystery, (a lot of people had spoken of having that option in the proposed RPG mode), and partial information allows for decision making with some questions marks. I like both ideas but I think I will stick with not sending the dat.files so that each promoter must try to make decisions and do research based on partial information. Thanks for the help and idea though.
As for the start of the uni, I am waiting to finish the draft, get trainers/cutmen listed, still filling countries and regions with fighters and thinking of the point system. I can tell you that the USBA region has been filled. I am making sure that there is a decent amount of tc's and decent opponents for the local/regional beginning fights for each promotional fighter that was drafted. Specifically from - Australia, Canada, Cuba, England, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Ireland(UK), Samoa, Scotland(UK),South Africa. Still looking for a source for UK heavies and cruisers. I would like to fill out that region with files from somebody who is knowledgable about the current and past, more modern fighters. I have a lot of the old, bkf, that have been created in the threads. If anybody knows of someone who has created files and would like to share, please let me know, thanks.

Late, but here's my pick:
Proud Kilimanjaro - Zimbabwe rated 3. Loved the name, and he had a decent 30-6-0 (28) record only being stopped 2 times. He was the Zimbabwean and African Champion during his career. |
