Game crashes/won't accept my activation code
I am on a MAC & some time ago my online games (3 of them) started crashing every time I attempted to open the waiver wire, look at all the league's players or open the draft pool. I suffered through this problem and found time consuming workarounds because I was told that I'd need to reinstall the game to really fix the problems & I was worried about the game not accepting my activation code.
But since two of my leagues are taking a short break I decided to go ahead & try to fix this by reinstalling the game, but as I feared, now the game won't accept my activation code and the crashing problems still exist. This problem occurs with all three online leagues & a solo league I just started to check the problem. I tried downloading new online files for all three leagues and as expected nothing changed. It is hard for me to even consider buying the next version of OOTP, when there seems to be a new confounding problem with every version that comes out. I thank you in advance for anyone that can offer me any help on this subject.

If it is happening in all your leagues, it is definitely game related not league related. Try installing a full version of the game to another directory other than the default directory. That may solve it.
I'm not sure exactly how to reactivate your codes on Mac. On PC, we contact the licenser directly and they reset them. |

Unfortunately, the way to do a re-install most efficiently is to de-license your old version first, before you trash it (for future reference, the button to initiate a de-license is in Game Preferences). This basically releases your activation code at the PISD server.
You should have been given two activation codes when you bought the game. Have you tried both of them? PISD will release your license(s) upon request, but you have to go their web site and sign on to your account there. It happens pretty automatically (though you will get a little nagging message about taking care of your licenses). |
