Feeder League - Draft Question
I set up HS and College Feeder Leagues to my association. My draft pool was created and not one player from either of those leagues are in it...
What did I do wrong? Thanks for any help and please let me know if you need more info! |

Has your game progressed enough to allow players to "graduate" from the Feeder league? In other words, if you've just created a game and your amateur draft is before the final game of the feeder league, the game will have to create draftable players because no one has moved on from the feeder league.

You can adjust the date of the draft to a date past the feeder league's end date. In my fictional leagues, I always have the amateur draft in December to avoid these problems.
Otherwise, if you're creating a fictional league from scratch you could sim for 5+ years and then just erase the history of your parent leagues . This gives you a robust feeder system with a blank slate of major league players. |

Where do i go to find out exactly when the feeder league ends? It looks like the schedule runs out in early May which would be plenty of time before the June 15th draft right? If I wanted to erase the history of the parent leagues, where do I go to do that? |

Closest thing to find out when the season ends is to use the "Select League" pull down in the upper right hand to choose the feeder league. Then hover over the baseball logo in the upper left to find out when your playoffs begin. Add the maximum number of games plus two days between rounds go get the maximum end date.
Now that I think of it, when you generate the draft list is probably as important as the draft itself. To check that, go under the Game menu -> Game Setup then click on the League Setup tab then the Rules tab. Scroll down to the Amateur Draft Rules. Check to make sure that the "Amateur Draft Pool Reveal Date" isnt before the last day of the season (as determined by the above guesstimation). So even if you have plenty of time between the draft itself and a mid-May season end date. If your draft list is published 60 days before the draft the game wouldn't "see" any eligible candidates. To erase league history: Game Menu -> Game Setup. Click on your desired league then click on the Functions tab and scroll all the way down. "Erase League History" |

Ok so I changed my league's amateur draft date to November 1st because at that point the feeder leagues definitely would be over with. i just double checked and in the game setup it says "november 1st."
However, I just simmed to June 15th and the game is prompting me for the Amateur Draft. Any ideas? |
